Individualised Physio Sessions
At Jacaranda Kids Physio, every session is carefully tailored to your child’s strengths, needs, and family goals. We begin with a comprehensive assessment of movement, strength, coordination, posture, and motor planning, before creating a clear, child-friendly therapy plan.
Therapy sessions incorporate evidence-based techniques such as play-based activities, targeted exercises, manual therapy, and functional motor skill training. We turn therapy into play — whether it’s climbing, balancing, walking, or jumping — to keep children motivated and engaged while building strength, balance, and confidence. Families are actively involved, with simple strategies and home exercises provided so progress continues beyond the clinic, and caregivers feel empowered and supported.
Sessions may take place in our fully equipped clinic, or in natural environments such as your home, preschool, school, or local playground. This flexible, child-centred approach ensures your child has the best opportunity to move better, engage more fully, and thrive.
Hydrotherapy
Physiotherapy in the Water
Hydrotherapy is physiotherapy in the water, using the principles of buoyancy and resistance to encourage muscle activity in a fun and supportive setting. The water reduces the load on joints and makes movement easier, allowing children to safely practice skills such as walking, balancing, and coordination while building strength and confidence.
Unlike swimming lessons, hydrotherapy is focused on developing strength, balance, and coordination rather than stroke technique. Every session is play-based and engaging, with games and exercises tailored to your child’s goals. With the supportive properties of water and expert guidance, hydrotherapy helps children move more freely, achieve milestones, and enjoy the journey along the way.
Orthotics & Equipment Prescription
Expert Support for Growing Bodies
At Jacaranda Kids Physio, we understand how the right orthotic or equipment support can transform a child’s movement, comfort, and independence. Our team are experts in gait analysis and work closely with trusted orthotists, podiatrists, and equipment providers to ensure each child receives the most appropriate support.
We provide assessments, recommendations, and ongoing support for a wide range of devices, including custom Ankle Foot Orthoses (AFOs) to improve walking patterns, Dynamic Movement Orthoses (DMO) suits to enhance postural control, and other tailored solutions.
We also collaborate with specialist equipment consultants to design and trial solutions that make daily life easier and safer. These may include seating supports, walking frames, standing frames, custom bikes, sleep systems, bath seats, or even customised car seating. By combining physiotherapy expertise with the latest assistive technology, we ensure every piece of equipment is tailored to your child’s unique needs and environment — helping them move better, play more, and live more independently.
Baby Assessment Clinic
Early Support for Development
Our Baby Assessment Clinic provides specialised developmental assessments for infants as young as a few days old who may be at risk of neurodevelopmental delays. Babies born prematurely, with low birth weight, seizures, or complex birth histories can benefit from early monitoring and intervention to give them the best possible start in life.
Hannah brings extensive experience from public health Developmental Assessment Clinics and is highly skilled in the use of gold-standard assessment tools, including the General Movements Assessment (GMA), Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE), and Bayley Developmental Assessments. These tools help identify early signs of motor or neurological concerns and guide the creation of targeted intervention plans to support your baby’s development from the very beginning.
