Boutique kids’ physiotherapy clinic in Castle Hill

Early Intervention: Helping little ones grow, step by step.

We are a kids only clinic. Purpose built, friendly and welcoming for the whole family. We are a small team of experienced paediatric physio’s who truly care about providing evidence based and effective physio that helps your child develop.

We are called Jacaranda Kids because we believe early intervention is rooted in 'nature and nurture' - where a child's development is shaped by their own biological makeup (nature) and their environment and developmental opportunities (nurture). In physio, we use play based, engaging and structured therapy programs that build strength, balance, coordination and confidence to help your child thrive!

You can self-refer to a paediatric physiotherapist - parents know their kids best & you don’t have to wait for a referral to book.

Here’s how we can help you:

  1. Fill out our intake form. Tell us about your child in your own words, no medical jargon required - just share what you are noticing & what is worrying you.

  2. We will call you. One of our paediatric physio’s will personally call you to hear your concerns, answer your questions & make sure we are the right fit for your child.

  3. Book your appointment. We’ll find a time that works for your family and get you in as soon as possible. If you have certain days or times that work best, let us know in the intake form.

  4. Leave with a clear plan. After your first session, you will understand exactly what is going on with your child & have a practical plan you can start with straight away.

Meet Hannah & Ash

Hannah & Ash are the main physio’s here at Jacaranda Kids. We are extremely passionate about helping children reach their full potential. We have both lived in the Hills district our whole lives, and we are proud to give back to our local community by providing expert, family focused care close to home.

We both come with experience across the public and private healthcare sectors, and we support babies, children & adolescents with motor challenges, developmental delays or complex medical needs

Our approach is warm, evidence-based, and always tailored to the individual child and family. Families choose us not just for our knowledge, but for the way we go above and beyond to ensure every child feels supported, capable, and empowered to thrive.

 FAQ’s

  • No, you don’t need a referral to see a physiotherapist - we are often parents’ first point of call to assess your child’s body, walking or motor skills. If you have been referred from a paediatrician, GP or other allied health professional, please bring this to your appointment to help us better direct your care.

If you are wondering if your child needs physio or are not quite sure, schedule a free 10 minute intake call with our physio to decide if we are the right fit for your child.

  • Your first appointment will involve a parent interview to understand your child better and a hands on physical and motor assessment to pin-point concerns and create an appropriate treatment strategy. You will walk away with a clear plan of what needs to happen & how you can support your child.

Please bring your child’s blue book or any relevant medical information that will help us in our assessment. Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and shoes that they can easily move in.

It can be helpful to bring water, milk or snacks for your child in case they need a short break during the appointment.

  • Sessions are usually 45-60 minutes and depend on your child’s age and the complexity of your concerns. Please speak directly with your physiotherapist when booking to discuss how long the appointment will be.

  • Yes, you can claim back a portion of the appointment with your private health insurance - the rebate will be determined by your level of cover.

Children who have been provided with an Enhanced Care Plan (EPC) from their GP can also claim a rebate for up to 5 physio sessions a year (rebate is about $60-$65).

  • Yes, you can use funds from self-managed or plan-managed NDIS plans for physiotherapy services.

  • We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Please call us with the required notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment to avoid the cancellation fee. We understand that kids get sick and things come up, we offer convenient telehealth appointments if you need.

We are a boutique physiotherapy business and we go above and beyond to deliver you the best care. Your appointment time has been reserved especially for your child with time allocated in advance to prepare and plan for your appointment.

  • The cost of the appointment depends on the appointment length and the complexity of the assessment. Please call Hannah on 0404 927 357 or fill out our contact form to discuss the physiotherapy assessment and treatment plan your child may need.

Our prices reflect the quality service we strive to deliver and our specialised skillset. You can expect the highest level of individualised care, a clear and comprehensive management plan and a physio that goes above and beyond for your child.

  • Absolutely - Hannah has been working in the NDIS space for a number of years and is a strong advocate for getting your child the funding they need to thrive. You’ll need to book an assessment with Hannah first and a report can then be written.

Please allow 2 weeks for report writing. Reports are billed on an hourly rate.
